US Partners' Visit
by Marydel Glass
Each of the visits brought joy and fulfillment to the staff of the Restored Heritage as well as pastors and leaders in different Churches
The visits hit the needs with a "bulls eye". Doors were opened for evangelism by means of medical outreaches, drama presentation and sports fest. A highlight of the ministry trip was a “values formation” on school campuses using the living testimonies of the teens with the “Purity“ theme emphasizing 1 Cor 6:18-20.
During the span of three weeks, the targeted areas specially in Bohol were almost saturated with evangelism. The gospel spread throughout the hearts of the college, high school and elementary students and teachers. Many came to know and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior and found everlasting hope in Him. The fatherless are Fathered and the wounded hearts healed as they heard the astonishing love of God demonstrated by the cruel death of Jesus Christ for their sins at the cross of Calvary.
The unbelieving hearts might have named us Christian "fanatics" who are brainwashed and “foolish”… Yet we bless those who curse us. We are patient with those who abuse us. We respond gently when evil things are said about us (1 Cor 4:12b-13a)… We continue to pursue in preaching the truth as the GOSPEL is effective to those who placed their faith in Christ..
Together we also ministered to the “House Churches” in many areas. The churches felt cared, strengthened and blessed as they listened to the Word of God and testimonies. Even the handshakes and the gentle tap on shoulders were means of comfort which carry the message "of moving forward and finishing the race” - Phil 3:13b-14.
We are humbled by each visit to Restored Heritage. The blessing of their time and sacrifice makes a gracious impact to the RH family – reminding us of God’s love and sufferings to undeserving people. The visitors have given up their jobs, vacation hours, finances and even their fun time in dedication to the mission work. Experiencing their partnership with us in a more personal contact helps strengthen our ground of a deeper understanding that only JESUS CHRIST is worth-serving for......
